October Scrap by Numbers Challenge

I hope you are ready to Scrap by Numbers!
I will give you a list of items to include in your layout and sometimes a layout subject.
If you post a qualifying layout, you will earn a great posting gift that coordinates with all of my posting gifts for the month and the monthly challenge kit!

We will be providing a challenge kit for you to use for your layouts for the monthly challenges - IF YOU WISH. Club Deco members get the kit for FREE for the current month, and it will be in the store for a great price for non-members. When the challenge month is over, all the posting gifts and the challenge kit will be in the store.

For posting a qualifying layout for this challenge, you will earn this posting gift:



THE CHALLENGE:

Your layout must contain ANY 4 of these items.

• 1 trim such as ribbon, twill tape or ricrac
• a solid brown paper
• at least 2 buttons
• a harvest-themed element (pumpkin, scarecrow, bale of hay, etc.)
• 2 photos
• a torn edge on 1 paper
• 1 leaf
• 1 wooden element (not a frame)
• an oval frame (metal or wooden only)

YOU MAY HAVE ADDITIONAL ITEMS NOT LISTED IN YOUR LAYOUT, BUT YOU MUST USE AT LEAST 4 ITEMS FROM THIS LIST.


Here is the start of an example layout that would qualify for the posting prize. Almost all of the items are from the October Harvest Challenge kit. I used Template 24 by Burkhart Scrapzone Designs (from this month's template challenge), Cooper Std font, Atomic Cupcake Stained Wood Action and a personal layer style. I will need to add a photo, but it contains a wooden element, a leaf, a solid brown paper, more than 2 buttons and 1 trim - so I basically have met the challenge except for the photo.



And, this layout could only be used for 1 challenge.

THE RULES:

1. Your NEW layout must be posted to the Scrap by Numbers Gallery by midnight October 31st (9 PM Pacific).

2. You MUST post a link to your layout in this thread by the deadline to receive your posting bonus.
You DO NOT need to send me a PM. You must give kit and font credit in the gallery following the guidelines for all items used.

3. Your layout must contain at least 4 of the items listed for the challenge (but you may use things not on the list, too). You may use all of the list items if you like. USING THE CHALLENGE KIT IS NOT REQUIRED.

4. Your layout may not be submitted for any other challenge (past or present).

5. Your layout may be on any subject or theme.

Is this perhaps a little different from last month? If I picked some groups of 4 from the list, I would be left with NO papers. Can we possibly use things IN ADDITION to our pick of 4?

This is different from last month...you are allowed to use more than what is listed, but you must have at least 4 of the items on the list - any 4 you like. So, you may have as many papers as you want (one of them can be a solid brown paper or not).

I'll try to get an example layout done ASAP.
