Journaling:

The first thing the
nurses did, after you were
born, was wipe you down and
wrap you in a blanket, and then they brought
you over to me. I couldn’t hold you yet, because
the doctors were finishing up the c-section. So I
just gazed at your beautiful face, and touched
your soft cheeks. I couldn’t get over how big your
hands were! So much bigger than Jared’s had
been!... All too soon they took you back to get
your vitals. I couldn’t even see you because of the
screen that blocks my view of the surgery. So I
just lay there and listened to them call out your
stats... I was pleased to hear that you were over
7 pounds! A nice, big healthy boy! (and beautiful
as well!) What more could I ask for?
