When we found out that Jessie wasn’t a stray, and we couldn’t keep her, Daddy and I
talked about getting you another kitty. Mommy’s friend, Lisa, said she had some to give away,
so she brought one out on October 5th. You loved that cat! We named her Misty, because she was mischievous... Boy, was that one hyper kitty. She loved to play more than she loved anything else... I’ve
never seen a cat play quite like her. She would play “chase” with you, and she would chase you too! She
loved to hang upside down in the exer-saucer and play with plastic balls. You would even spin the seat, and
she would stay in there! You would put her in a bucket and ride with her all over the house, and she would
actually stay in the bucket! Unbelievable! One day (10-21) you were singing to her. While you sang, you pointed
to her different body parts… The song went like this: “Be careful little eyes what you see. Be careful little ears
what you hear. Be careful little hands what you do. Be careful little mouth what you eat.”…. I laughed so hard at the
“eat” part, as the song goes, “What you say.”... We had one problem though... Your brother. Josh was 23 months old,
and didn’t understand that Misty was not a toy. He was so rough on her! He would yank at her, and pull her tail, and
was always hurting her. One day one of you ran her over with the cozy coupe, and she limped for a couple days... I felt
so bad for that poor cat!... I was telling Grandma Peggy about it, and she volunteered to take the cat in.... It was a hard
decision, because you loved Misty so. Plus, I knew we would probably never find another kitty that would play so well
with you... But in Misty’s best interest, we gave her to Peggy. (With a promise to get you another kitty, when Josh was older).
You were so upset!!! Thankfully, you seemed to get over it pretty quickly... Though you talked about her for a couple years.
