Jim was a truck driver for Union Pacific, and drove between Portland and
Pendleton, Oregon. While on his route he would stop and eat at a restaurant in
Sandy, where he met Dorothy, who was a waitress. Jim was a bit of a flirt with
the ladies, and caught Dorothy’s attention.
They fell in love, and were married on
October 26, 1940... They were blessed with
three children. James Jerome Jr. was born on
August 25, 1941, Dorean Marie was born on
July 1, 1943, and Donna Mae Ellen was
born on January 17, 1945.
Dorothy passed away
on April 8, 1947, when
she was 28 years old.
She left behind her
husband, Jim, and 3
young children, all
under 6 years old.

WOW, this series of pages really tells a story but it has such a sad ending. What a really beautiful tribute to this lovely lady that I'm assuming would have been your grandmother-in-law. I'm awed by your scrapping talents Julie.

That's such a sad story, but it's wonderful that you have put this page together so that the story is not lost. Gorgeous page.
