I learned lighting technique on a 35 mm camera. I was mostly familiar with outdoor lighting.
Combining what natural or indoor light you have available with the flash of a digital camera, that has zoom features, is totally different than that of a 35 mm camera. Practice makes perfect. And I finally improved my technique. My goal was to get a photo good enough to tube. I do love Calla Lilies.
The photos used in this layout have been cropped. No other changes were made by any software program, in order to depict the improvement in lighting techniche by the photographer(me).

Lovely...isn't it fun to work with a new item and figure it out!! We just got a new one this summer...but I am still working with the old one. Hubby had claimed the new one as his. Keep up the great work!

I like the lighting on the top photo, because it looks like it has been altered.
I can see what you mean, though. Well done.
I'm lucky to know if I have any lighting in my photos. I find out when I print them!!! And I have a digital camera.
