Deb, it is great seeing all these cat layouts!! Gus was such a cute kitten and these photos made a great page. The way you've combined the folded ribbons like lacing is so clever and cute. Everything from the starter kit worked so well.

What a lovely tribute to Gus. Your explanation of how he came by his name is very amusing. I´ve seldom had a pet that ended up with the name it started with. Dotty Dora is a far cry from Fedora von Messingberg so I can understand how Augustus Picasso Ammerman ended up as plain Gus!

Awww Deb, what a little cutie pie! Gus was at the age in this photo that I wish all kittens would stay forever! LOL Love your layout. Love how you put his full name on the tab but put Gus in a larger font to stand out.

Thank you all for the wonderful feedback on this page. I really do love the way it turned out. No, Diane, Gus is in kitty heaven now. Putting him to sleep was one of the hardest things I have ever had to do in my life, but I know for him, it was the kindest thing I could do. He had cancer and was just too old to go through the treatments that he would have had to face, only to find out that perhaps they might not have helped anyway. He hated going in the car, and I would have had to take him here for this test, and take him there for this treatment... and it just would have been too traumatic for him. He rests in peace now, and I miss him horribly. I'm glad I have photos like these to look at and remember the good times we had with him... He really was a good cat...

I love this layout Deb..... I think the colors and elements were just perfect and Gus was such a cutie..... when I looked at the date (1991) I wondered if Gus was still with us or if this was a tribute/memory page..... So sorry to hear that I was right..... <ya had me in tears here at work>.... Thanks for playing with my Color Challenge and sharing your touching layout with us!!!
