Once after Daisy left home, we were driving in an area where she had been spotted. We saw a doe and her fawn. Driving slowly we yelled out the windows..."Daisy". The doe looked up and we continued to call "Daisy". The fawn ran away but the doe stayed. She didn't have on the red ribbon but surely over time it may have come off. Don't know for sure if it was her, but most deer would have run long before she did. She's was a special part of our life.

Diane is so right. I do feel quite weepy. Your photos and journaling are very touching. I can imagine you must have mixed feelings about Daisy having left you to live in the wild but it really is a happy ending to such an amazing story. Thank you for this wonderful contribution to the challenge. Helen

It must make you feel so happy that you gave her a good start in life and she found her true calling when she got bigger. Bittersweet ending, but a good one for Daisy. This is a wonderful "article"

It's not often that you see a deer and a dog in the same picture when there isn't a chase on! Great page to document the special adoptee!
