Journaling:
Theodor and Olive Andersen were married on December 9, 1933 in Bangalore,
India... Theodor had gotten his B/A in agriculture at Cornell University, Ithica,
New York. He went back to India and was overseer of 300 acres of the
farm... which was part of the original 3,000 acres of his father’s farm.
Theodor built his own home and called his section “Bonneland Farm”...
Theodor and Olive were blessed with four children. The twins, Gottlob
Bonneland and Ellen Harriet Bonneland were born on April 24, 35.
Their daughter Edith Jessica Bonneland was born on January 1, 40,
and their son Konrad Jonathan Bonneland was born on January
28, 1942... At the age of 50 Theodor and Olive sold their farm to
take their kids to a better land. They did not want them growing
up under the threat of communist domination. They left family and
friends to face the unknown. What faith they had, to come so far!
Before they left India they had purchased land in both Florida
and California... On the way to America they lived in England for
6 months, and Calgary, Canada for 2 years. They originally
weren’t allowed into the states, because Ellen had epilepsy. But she
married and stayed there, then they finished
their migration to the states, and ended up
in San Luis Obispo, California.
