Journaling:
Grandma Pope loved Christmas! She would decorate anything and everything. If something sat still long enough, it had tinsel draped over it. Grandpa decorated the outside and made the little house you see below. Every year would have a different scene inside. One year was Santa's workshop, another was skaters and all were animated. Grandma would dress up like Santa and stand outside in the evenings waving at cars and handing out candy canes to the children. I think that's when she was the happiest.

Notes:
These photos were all taken between 1964 and 1967. Check out the aluminum Christmas tree! Gotta love it!

I´d have loved your grandma too, Diane. She sounds like great fun and obviously had a lot of creativity and imagination. Hmm, sounds a lot like the creator of this page...This is an absolutely beautiful glowing tribute to your grandma, remembering her at her most sparkly. Wonderful photos, beautifully presented and a great addtion to your family scrapbook.

Sounds like her joy was in giving joy to others on Christmas. I remember when we had one of those aluminum trees..I did enjoy the sparkles of it and they really showed off the ornaments and reflected the colors back. I had forgotten all about that little tree. Your photos are wonderful and must bring back a bunch of memories for you as well. Great page!!

What a phenominal memory. Something to cherish always. Your Grandpa did a good job with all the outside decorations for her. This is a festive house. I'll bet it was fun too!

This is a lovely story and a great page. I love your use of various frames. Christmas is such a great time.

We had an aluminium Christmas tree. We had glass birds that clipped to the branches, too. Unfortunately they are all gone now.
Love your layout, and especially the journalling.
