During the early 1950\'s Deborah was a
very popular name so when they realized
I wasn\'t a boy they had to come up with
a name very quickly. I think all my friends
in school were named Debbie. My
middle name is after my Mother - Mae Dell.

I am so grateful I was born a girl because
the name they had chosen for a boy was
Reginald Wadell - middle name a derivative
of my mother\'s maiden name Walker and her
middle name. Thank you God for making me
a girl. I can live with everyone else having
the same name, I don\'t think I could endure
being a Reggie!!!!

Delightful story! Amazing how much kids do or don't like their names. Very lovely layout with great combination of elements, especially Deb's smiley faces! Very cute little one photo!

Great page Debbie! My younger brother got the name I would have gotten had I been a boy. I think this will make an excellent addition to your scrapbook! Sorry you had to create a new user name just so you could post... but we will get this figured out. Thanks for your patience! I think the smile faces were just perfect for this! Thank you for using the posting bonus kit!

I came in here to read this & I'm glad I did. Praise God you are who you are.
Even though I've known of one girl who goes by Reggie, I do not know what her real name was, she was a friend in passing. We never saw eachother very much & now, since I have moved, we may never see eachother. I love the smiley faces, in fact: I was born with one & didn't get a wake up call: Spanking because of it: LOL.

What a happy page! I love the smiley face paper that you used, it adds to the journaling of being happy about who you are!
