I thought it was interesting to watch the house
come in, but it really made Joe a nervous wreck. He
kept thinking of everything that could go wrong, and
was sure the house was going to end up in a ditch.
Poor Joe! ... Anyway, they finally got the back half
of the house back onto the main street, and then
brought the front of the house and put her in.
Then they had to get the back half in... That
took a lot of work, positioning it in next to the
front half. We were lucky our contractor had come
to watch. He ended up being a lot of help. He
had his tractor there, and he helped pull the
house in, and did some digging behind the house,
to be able to pull the house sections in all the
way. Though I tell you, they made a mess of
the yard! ... It took them a long time to get
the two halves onto the lot. They weren’t
done until 5:30! I felt bad for the kids, as
we had been there since 12:35, and there wasn’t
even a bathroom they could use. They were bored,
but they had been so patient and well behaved.
I was so proud of them!

This was facinating to read it must have been amazing to have been ther especialy now looking back rather than at the time when you were nervous about it all going right.
