Too late for the all about me, but I quess better late than never! I thought I would go ahead and post the pictures of my signature blinkie...it blinks a little fast and you can't see them very well. Added to the layout the only picture I have of me with both of the grandkids.
The lady with me in the MG picture is Suzanne Rogers, Maggie of Days of Our Lifes. For those who don't know what MG is...it's Myasthenia Gravis, a rare muscle disease. Suzanne also has MG and is the national spokesperson for our organization. I have visited with her several times at our annual meetings and she is a very sweet and personable lady. Back in the mid 80's when Suzanne was able to return to the show, they protrayed Maggie has having MG. Was great for MG awareness as they showed all the symptoms and took her through the whole diagnosis process. I never watched the show back then but had people tell me when they learned I had MG...oh, you have what Maggie has on Day of Our Lifes. Suzanne, and I are doing very well now, but we both had some very difficult years before improvement. My family and my faith got me through those difficult days. Now I work with the Texas chapter, have a local support group, website, and take phone calls to help newly diagnosed patients, and work with MG research projects...a big part of my life.
