Oh Laj, I am so sorry you lost your diamond... but in loosing it, I think you gained a special message from God about the works you are doing for Him. The diamond is a rock that has been returned to the earth... the love you share with your husband had nothing to do with that rock in itself... it is only a thing, and can be replaced. What a joyful gift you have been given. Your page is so heart felt and loving... a wonderful addition to your scrapbook, and a beautiful testament to your Faith and the gift you share with those children.... And the gifts the children share with you... You are truly blessed. Thank you so much for participating in the Designer's Choice Contest, I wish you the best of luck!

Ahh! I am sorry that you lost the diamond from your ring, but in losing it, it appears you have found something much more valuable! I adore your heartfelt journaling.

You said this might not be a very creative layout, but I think it is the opposite. It may not be as "fancy" as some we do, but it has color, composition, and imagery to hold your wonderful journaling. I too am sorry about your diamond, but you came through to a better understanding of what you want to do. Wonderful to share this with us.

Wonderful, heartfelt journaling and a wonderful layout. I once lost a bracelet that my husband had given me - we searched for a long time while I cried. That was almost 20 years ago! Isn't it wonderful how love lasts even when things are gone? I bet you'll love your replacement stone just as much!

Check your bed. I lost the stone out of the ring my dh gave me, and found it the day before we left, in the bed when I went to change the bedding. Do it very slowly and carefully, and check the floor around the bed... just in case. You never know, but it seems to be a good place as we toss and turn and can easily loose a loose stone there.
Either way, remember it was a symbol for the love he has for you, and the love is still there, another symbol can be also. It would be worse to still have the ring and the love gone... You may be surprised even yet again that there is more to learn over the lost diamond...God is not finished with you yet!

I'm so sorry that you lost something so precious. I can feel your pain and your acceptance in your journaling. The journaling, I hope, was theraputic for you. I still wonder who stole my basketball charm my first year in college--it was so precious to me... You may find it when you least expect it, and if not, you still have God's gift of the "diamonds in the rough." You are a perfect diamond to them.

I know how you feel, I lost the original diamond out of my ring, too. But I think you figured it out perfectly when you commented on what the kids are praying for -- someone they love who is sick or a parent in Iraq. You lost your stone, but you've found something even more precious.

I'm sorry that you have lost your Diamond. I can only imagine how you feel, as there is no fixing my wedding ring: but to get a new one. My husband lost his wedding ring a year ago, as he had his own lawn care business & felt he had to take his ring off, & well.......: In the process, lost his ring.
Although, you have lost your diamond: you haven't lost everything. You can be happy that you are still married & it sounds like he cares & desires to replace the diamond. They need to be cleaned & checked every so often.
Do not forget the "Diamond In The Rough," the children in whose care God put you in. They too need some special attention. They need some polishing & their prongs fixed, so that they can walk the Christian walk & be strong in the Lord.
So, it sounds like you have a physical example here, as well as a Spiritual application & that you need some Edifying yourself & I think your husband is right there, wanting to Edify you & take care of the Mental & the Physical: while you take care of the Childrens Spiritual side.
Awesome page, I love not only the journaling: but the way that you did the page with the tear drops. Remember the Lord collects our tears in a bottle. Just as much as he knows every hair on your head & knew you before you were born. Jesus knows everything about you & he still loves you!!

I am SO SORRY! Such a cherished thing to have been lost. Remember you still have your love for each other and even though it can only be replaced, your love can't. Dry your tears and give him a big hug for loving you!
