ImperfectlyPrecious

Photo Details
Poster: retro  (see this users gallery)

I loved my grandma dearly and will never forget her. How could I when I see her treasures every day, each one with its own special memory. There´s the emerald bracelet given to her by grandpa on their wedding day which I can never wear because the safety chain is broken. I've never worn the ring he gave her either as several of the diamonds are missing. Then there are the amber earrings she inherited from her mother, one of which still shows the imprint of her brother´s baby teeth in the gold! What a lasting impression my Great Uncle Cameron made! I love the tiny pendant too. Though its fragile link is broken. it is still precious to me as are all the other treasures from grandma. Imperfectly precious? Not to me.

I hope you like this QP because, if you do, you can get it – and yet another one - for free by going to this thread: http://board.deco-pages.com/forums/s...ad.php?p=46141 - post46141 I'd love to see your own family photos or anything else you hold dear.

Feel free to copy anything you like, Julie! Imitation is said to be the sincerest form of flattery and I take that for a lovely compliment. I forgot to mention that the hearts in the kit/QP are among my treasures too as they also belonged to grandma as did some of the other elements. In fact you could say that the kit is a tribute to her.

Love it...this QP is so versatile. You'll have us all going and photgraphing our old jewerly. Kinda interesting to read about the ring with the diamond missing...yet still precious... as I just lost the diamond from my engagement ring...even if replaced, wonder what shape it will be in many years from now! Hopefully, it will be precious to someone in my family. Wonderful journaling as well!

Oh, I like what you've done with the jewelrey! I did some of my mother's last month, but I like this LO better! How fun the different ways to use this one QP. It does seem that the objects that were dear to our loved ones keep them closer to us and provide a way to share our love for them.

It is not always about the material value as much as the emotional ties as you have just journaled...very pretty!

So beautiful! Lovely way to display treasures from out heritage. Great idea! The tooth mark on the earring makes it so much more precious. Great journaling to go along with the layout.
