What a lovely family group this is, Cyndi. Doesnīt your dad look cute in his little sailor suit! Another one for the family scrapbook and also a tribute to your grandparents.

Helen,
Yes, all I need now is a 12x12 printer & then I will be all set.
He (my dad) was actually a Navigator for the Air Force & died in the Vietnam War, over Laos.
Thank you very much.
Lori,
One has more photo's then the other & athough I like them both: I can see why you like this one better. I too love Butterflies-N-Bows-N-Blues.
You take care & get some rest.
Pat,
I do not know why, either. Maybe it is because I look like them somewhat. They are in heaven & have been for awhile now & they are with my dad, who died before them.
Cyndiem,
Thank You: Most of the credit goes to Helen (Retro Designs) she made the Quick Page, I just added my picture of my family to it.
MaggieMae,
Yes, it is for I know what my dad looked like as an adult.
Margie,
I just gave it a shadow box look. I'm glad that you like it.

Beautiful layout! Isn't it strange to see our parents as little ones?! This layout is a treasure for your family!

Another awesome family photo! I love the looks on their faces, they all look very happy. Love the blue of the bg and the way that you've framed the photo!

I love this quickpage with the heritage photos. This photo is so great, they look so happy which is unusual in heritage photos, a lot of times they look so serious. Great page!

Rie,
Ironic you'd say that. That is so true. Why they are so serious, or without smiles in the olden day's I do not know, but I'm curious why most all of them didn't smile in the photo's. If you find out why, please tell me!!
My Grandparents are Christians & I believe that is why they are smiling in this photo.
My dad was born in 1936, so I know it had to be taken a few years after that. I'm not sure how old my dad is in this photo, but I can tell you that this was originally a Black & white photo, of which I gave an old newspaper look to it.
If he is 3 years old in this picture, it would be ironic: because my mother was born in 1939.
Thanks for your reply.

The reason nobody smiled in older photos is because cameras in those days were very slow and they had to hold the pose for quite a while. Itīs very difficult to smile for such a long time without it looking forced. Anyway it was quite a serious business back then and not to be taken lightly. Hope this answers your query.

Oh, thank you so very much for that answer. I tried to look it up online, unfortunately: I couldn't find the answer that I wanted.
