LOL, Deb! We are getting a lot of mileage out of the first spring flowering of dandelions. They are very hardy with pretty flowers but a bad reputation for many folks. In addition to the uses you mention, I have tasted dandelion wine that was very good. Love the way you used Mary's QP for this attractive photo and charming journaling.

This is great! I would never have thought about the dandelion being in the top 4 green veggies! Thanks for the lesson Deb. I love your take on Mary's pretty QP!

Oh, I love this page!! We had such a yard full of those darling buds of May In Washington and they always won the war of the weeds! This is such a nice way to look at them! Nutritious - not noxious!!

Lol! I love it! My Mom is korean and my Dad was a farm boy so I grew up eating dandelions fixed in a variety of ways. It's really good fixed into a korean spicy salad. It's also really good lightly blanched, chopped and sauteed with a little bacon and onions. Thanks so much for choosing my quick page for your layout!

Thank you for displaying this lovely photo of my lawn, Deb! I´m so glad that the USA and Europe have at least one plant in common. This is a really interesting page and a pretty QP and I thoroughly agree with the quote. My lawn is also studded with daisies and I love their cute little faces too. My husband has to mow round about them!

I love the journaling that you added to this little plant! It is funny that it is sooo nutritional and that people actually eat them! Wonderful tribute to the Dandilion!

I did not realize the flower was also edible... I see here on the marché the greens for sale to eat, and dh talks about eating them, but so far, the only way I have ever had anything to do with them is to pick them, admire the pretty yellow, make crowns out of them, and drink the dandelion wine! I will have to get Mary to send a recipe or two!

Mary, your recipe sounds so tasty. Thanks.
Deb, I love the educational aspect to your layout. Thank you. I might have to try them. It is good to know the best time to pick them. It is horrible when your first taste of something is when it is not at its best.
Mary's beautiful quick page is absolutely perfect with the bright yellow flowers. Well done.

Cute page Deb, I love the information and the quote. I am still not sure that I would want to eat them, although my friend says dandelion wine is wonderful. Very cool page!

A word of caution... I read a story about a young boy who accidentally ate some poison oak with his dandelion greens... and was very sick afterward... so please... know what you are eating.

It's amazing the things we scrap. Dandelions are classed as a weed in Australia, but they certainly are pretty. Thanks for the info on them, which I didn't know at all. Great page
