Journaling: Sunday evening Tony saw Jill catch this rabbit. Maybe motherly instinct was the driving force!
But, her kittens aren’t even eating yet and for sure we
weren’t letting her bring the rabbit in the house to them.

Our cats used to bring home wild rabbits but they would never bother the domestic rabbits and babies that my daughter raised for show! My cat brings me voles and leaves them on our back porch

Wow! I wouldn't have known that was a domestic cat except for the journaling! Great hunter you have there! Mine won't even catch a mouse, lol. Love the wild animal theme to this, it is perfect for her kill!

We are surrounded on three sides of our house by wooded area, so we occasionally have mice that get in the house... I used to think that Gus was the only one who got them, but after he was gone, I saw Blackie get one too... We used to say Gus was "working for a living"... I guess Blackie does too! Only problem is... I have a very weak stomic... and I always make Jeff "deal with it"...
