How very odd... mine sprouted, but made a gorgeous vine with totally different looking leaves than those... that one is really strange compared to all I have grown! Keep us posted on it...

Wow, just look at that thing! Itīs turned into a Triffid...better watch it...I can almost see it growing. Donīt turn your back on it. Itīs likely to wrap itself round your neck and squeeze! I have no idea what kind of a plant that is but I donīt think I want one! Great page though if a bit spooky.

That is so cool... I think you are right, you need a hanging basket for it, or it is going to take over your entire dining table! Do you just keep it in water forever or do you eventually put it in potting soil? I have never done one...

I've always just kept them in water...but it has a mass of roots so I'm sure you can pot it. Seems like when I was a kid many, many years ago, we would cut the eyes from seed potatos and plant them and a plant would come up from each one. That's actually what these are - eyes of the sweet potato. I'm headed to town to cover over a floor plan with a customer...so, I'll pick up a basket and we'll just see what happens!

This is a silly question but why are you growing your sweet potato? Can it multiply? I love sweet potatoes and they usually don't last in my house when I buy them. Great layout and love all your sunflowers.

The sweet potato sprouted in the pantry and grow quite a bit so I just put it in water. One time I had one that I just left on the counter after it had sprouted...didn't put in water...and it grew for a long time but just short little curly limbs and leaves. I can remember doing this as a child...fun to watch it grow but don't remember it growing wild...lol!

Wow! It is going all over the place! I didn't know that they grew like that! Love the use of the Wild Thing kit for this as it is totally wild! Love it, TFS!
