This is a great thing to document.. a bad thing the price and all.. but what history this is.. love every element..and the pic has great composition!!!! I took a pic the other day whan our gas was 1.25.9 cents a litre!!!! today it is 1.27.9 or more depending where you buy your gas.. we have as high as 132.9..in our little town...well over $5.00 a gallon now... yikes.. no trips to Maine for us this year.. and I want to go to Newfoundland too.. lucky for me I can see the world for now via the internet

I agree, this is a great way to document a part of history. Who knows... 20 to 30 years from now, maybe gas won't even be the primary source for travel.
Great scrap.

Great page to add to your scrapbook. Price of petrol in Australia is up around $1.50 a litre, which is around $5.50 per gallon when coverted and they are saying on the news it could reach $1.70 (($6.45/gallon) soon. I live in a country town and it cost me heaps to drive anywhere, so I drive only when necessary. Your right it is a Pain At The Pump ... TFS

Groan! Donīt remind me..ours costs €1.50 a litre. You donīt seem to have lost your sense of humour though. This era will go down in history so imagine how your family will gasp at this in the 22nd century when all they have to say is, "Beam me up Scottie." and theyīre immediately in the supermarket...........

Same here...we pay by the litre and with euro. I think that is why the small cars are so popular here, as well as lack of space, and the public transit is always full.

Too bad they took out all those old train tracks all over..will be a lot more expensive to put any kind of public transit with trains back in....I will do there what I do here...walk when I can and go one time a week for the weeks groceries and errands...

Thanks for the inspirational photo... I saw this, and remembered it yesterday when I was going to get gas and had to wait at the light before turning into the gas station to get some fuel. I think it is great to document prices of things for future generations. Had to laugh when I read Helen's comment... Beam me up Scottie! wouldn't that be something... who knows what the future holds!

What an awesome idea to include in your scrapbook. I so need to do this the next time I gas up. I think I paid $60 this last gas up. Crazy.

Love that retro pump! Those gas prices are higher than what we're having to pay right now but not by much. Scrapping the tough times is as important as the good times.
