My Mum. where do I start?
Mum taught me all the things Mums are supposed to teach, to love and care for others, how to cook, clean and you know the usual things. But what I am so grateful for is my Mum taught me embroidery from about the age of 4. She now says I am better then her, but I can still remember the most beautiful work my Mother did. Then at the age of 7, by that time I had a 2 yr old sister and a 1 month old brother, I became seriously ill and spent 4 1/2 months in hospital, Mum and Dad visited me everyday and when I came home I was not allowed to go to school for 12 months . Think about it, a new born, a toddler going through the terrible twos and me to teach. Dad was the one who took me back to the hospital for weekly then monthly check ups, but Mum was the one who carried on day after day for the 12 months. I have no idea how she managed, but she did! And I suppose this is where I learnt to keep going in hard times, things do get better. Mum is in her 80s now.

Carol, this is such a wonderful tribute to your mother. Your journaling is very touching and obviously comes straight from the heart. This is a beautiful photo of her and so charmingly presented. Love your use of the ivy and I like your own torn journaling tag. Thanks for using Dawn for this lovely page.

Lovely...and so touching. Parents do what they have to do for their young and keep going...it is wonderful you have actually noticed as many kids just figure it is their "due". Beautiful page and wonderful tribute to your mum!

Your mom was a very beautiful young woman! Your journaling is so heartfelt and beautiful, your mom is a very special lady and the page you've made of her is beautiful as well. Thanks for participating in the journaling challenge!

What a wonderful page about your Mom, and I love how your journaling tells so much about the both of you and your relationship. Fantastic Journaling Challenge page! I think Retro Designs Dawn kit was just perfect for this! TFS!

Your page is beautiful. I find it so difficult to speak about my own mom. So heart felt. A very special relationship indeed. Thank you so much for sharing your story with us.
