Fabulous page! Your mother's photo is wonderful (but what IS it?) and I love the way you put this together for Matthew. The subtle title is a really nice touch.

I think it is a part of the Pier, that what ever it is that is covering the wood (some kind of netting perhaps) is frayed at the top from wear and weather... You can see the water in the background... but I am not sure.
