ThetaMixedKitsTextureBalsaFan

Photo Details
Poster: Mom5Kids  (see this users gallery)

This fan brings back memories of when my mother-in-law went to China. This is one of the fans she received on the airplane to fan herself with. The fan is scented with sandalwood and is supposed to help make the trip more bearable by masking the odors of the other travelers. The girls have this one hanging in their room as a pretty decoration.

I used the texture of the fan as part of the background and mixed in all kinds of elements and 3 papers.

How absolutely beautiful this is and certainly a lot lovelier than a tin of deodorant. The fact that you know its history makes it even more precious. Lovely mix of your kits too and I love the the way you´ve indented the font.

Very pretty fan. I have a fan supposedly made of sandalwood and opens into a full circle, but alas it is starting to fall apart, so it lives in a draw now. Lovely page Theta and great journaling

That description of that beautiful fan left nothing to the imagination about the other travelers...understand that feeling well on a hot day, in the spring, in the metro....

Such a pretty fan to use as texture! I love the pattern it made in your bg and the story behind it! Great page!
