After seeing Jean's page today, I just had to take a photo of the scrapbook page I did a few years ago after our vacation to Seattle. Then, one thing led to another, and the scrapbook page ... well... it got scrapbooked! This page is one of the reasons I am here, and you are here to see it. When you fall in love with a hobby like I did, it leads you to a new path... this path has been long... but I have loved every second of it! As I was working on this page, I thought it was kind of important to start scrapbooking about Deco-Pages itself, and what it means to me, about the friends I have made here, and the joy they bring me. This is a part of my life... a very BIG part. It deserves a place in my scrapbook.
I created this page with my contribution to the Garden Party Mega Kit for Club Deco (June 2008)... I altered the colors of the papers and elements. I love the ability to do that... it is much harder to do with traditional scrapbooking!
How wonderful Deb! I'm happy that I inspired you to revisit your paper scrapping roots and this delightful page. Love that Seattle cutout. We have so many memories that make wonderful subjects for our scrapbooks. I like the way you recolored the background on this. Those bordered papers are really attractive.

That's a clever idea Deb! I always love reading what you are up to because you make it sound like I'm sitting across a table from you and we're having a latte at Starbuck's. (that's my Seattle reference btw) I'd like to see more of your Washington Doilies! As for paper scrapping, once in a blue moon I will make a page manually. Since I work in a crafts store, I feel I should do it and stay in the loop so to speak. But digitals is my first love.

Cyndie, I have a photograph that I have to scrap one of these days of us on the ferry to your Island! I wish I would have known you then... I would have had you meet up with us for one of those Latte's!

What a gorgeous keepsake. Yes, there is much variety in digital, but I am very much a hybrid scrapper now as I love to make cards. Great journaling.
