I have been snapping photos of bricks and fabrics for a while, and I have never used them for anything. But, when I saw this texture challenge, I got the camera out again to take some new photos and actually use them.
Here is a photo of the patio doormat left by the previous owners of our house. I left the bits of leaves in because I thought they added character to the photo.

Woo-hoo! Wonderful texture in the mat. And yes, the leaves do add character to it. The diamond pattern seems to carry on the pattern even. Love this.
