I have been clearing weeds and the dead grass from winter from the woods along our back yard's edge. However, I just couldn't make myself get rid of this grass. It is gorgeous even dead...seems to radiate the reflection of the sun. The bottom photo is what I see from my Lazy Boy.
Colored grass strips and background made with an extracted portion of the grass. Deb's Paisley Glitter Kit was the inspiration for the color choices...added a golden strip as the grass is a golden color.
Journaling is a portion of William Wordsworth's Poem "Ode. Intimations of Immortality from Recollections of Early Childhood" which contain the phrase Splendour in the Grass - which by the way is also the name of a favorite movie of mine!
Then sing, ye birds, sing, sing a joyous song!
And let the young lambs bound
As to the tabor's sound!
We in thought will join your throng,
Ye that pipe and ye that play,
Ye that through your hearts to-day
Feel the gladness of the May!
What though the radiance which was once so bright
Be now for ever taken from my sight,
Though nothing can bring back the hour
Of splendour in the grass, of glory in the flower;
We will grieve not, rather find
Strength in what remains behind;

I love the texture of the grass in your bg and the three colors in your journaling! What a pretty page!

Fab page for the challenge. I love how you have used part of your picture in the background and put strips of the colours from Deb's Paisley Glitter kit over it. TFS
