This rather austere looking family is my father's family and their spouses. To the best of my knowledge this was taken in the 1930's. I recently found a box of photos that my father had removed either from albums or from the drawer in which most photos were kept. These were obviously very special to him, so I have been scanning them and scrapping them recently.
I figured that the butterfly added a bit of brightness to this group.
Excellent way to lighten the atmosphere of this fine family photo. That's pretty much how folks looked in photos then I think. The colors and framing suit it so well. The butterfly also adds the feeling of the picture being cherished.

Very nice job on the page...Probably a family member or friend snapped the photo, a professional would have made sure everyone's head showed fully. Don't you wish you knew who each one was? Or do you know?? Love your frame and butterfly to give it a little lift! (as in flying )
