These little brown birds are so plentiful around people. They look a bit like sparrows of the Americas, but they are really from the weaver finch family and are native to Europe. I sat on the back steps this afternoon and took pictures when any were nearby.

Magnificent photos of the lwee creatures. You've presented them so flavorfully with the July Color Challenge kit, too. The little red flowers are a nice addition. Thanks for a delightful treat again.
