My Dad bought plates for his mother during his military travels. I asked Grandmother for these plates when I was a child and she marked them that Lajuana wanted these.

One of the plates given to Grandmother Burleson by her son, Elma Burleson, purchsed in cities visited during his military service.
Tuscaloosa, the state capital from 1826 to 1846, derived its name from a famous creek Indian, Chief Tuskaluse, and is situated on a navigable river bearing the literal translation-The Black Warrior. Tuscaloosa was incorporated December 13, 1819, one day before Alabama was admitted to the Union. The Capitol burned, but the Governor’s mansion still stands and is now the Uveristy Club. Tuscaloosa, a friendly city of 46,000 people, has a balanced economy, including agriculture, industry, and institutions.
