With friends and relatives living in Houston, we’ve been focused on the effects of Hurricane Ike. Now we get to watch the fringe of its remains come by. We’re even under a wind advisory until midnight, but nothing like the real deal!

I can't comprehend just how big that strom was. This is a great layout and I like how you added the radar picture. Good luck, I hope you don't get flooded.

Been an odd summer for a lot of us weather wise...and the storms seem to be just beginning and continuing one after another. Could be a long fall at this rate! Great page!!

Great page with the addition of the weather radar! My heart goes out to those who were directly impacted and to those who have suffered as Ike moved inland too! We too suffered a substantial amount of damage from the wind.

We were very lucky as we never lost power though the lights flickered a few times, but they say 336,000 homes did lose power in NE Ohio. Repairs may be a little delayed as the electric company has crews in Texas to help there. Ike sure was scary even away from the awful devastation on the coast.
