Beautiful page and what a great imaginative title too. Butterflies really are exactly like flying flowers...and you have wonderful examples of both in your part of the world.

Do all of those lovely butterflys come your way heading further south to escape the cold weather? I have never heard of them as flying flowers, but the description is very apropos...

How appropriate your title! Butterflies are beautiful! What a wonderful festival to attend. I can only imagine seeing all the tripods and various cameras. Great page!

You caught some pretty awesome photos yourself of these flying flowers. The monarchs come through our area about this time of the year...awesome sight to see swarms of them coming toward you. Have seen only a few so far but I'll keep my camera handy.
