Myra has a few close friends that she wanted to share memories with. She decided to have a sleepover and make memory boxes and books. It took a while to decide on and collect the supplies. She wanted the memory boxes to remind her of Hawaii. We looked at kinds of different boxes and settled on these. Then there was the fabric choices to go through. That was very difficult and she decided on blues to represent the ocean. Then after much deliberation, she decided to have shell topped honu’s floating on palm fans. The shells around the edge of the fan represent the wake and waves from the fan. This box is actually her friend Megan’s. After they made the boxes, they got down to the real work of creating pages for each other. Myra and I had made the covers for their books earlier in the week and printed pictures of the pairs of friends. They enjoyed making friendship pages for each other. Their pages turned out awesome!

I was so glad we had packed up all the books and put all the scrapbooking stuff together before the party.
