I guess I should mention this is for the 1st Challenge of the race. It could not have worked out more perfectly for me with the tears and the brads I used for their Petanque balls!! Thanks Deb!

This was a photo taken at one of our family reunions we have every summer, end of July. My husband was in the process of teaching my family the european game of Petanque, played with metal balls. It is similar in some aspects to horseshoes, but much more difficult as much more precise and your target is not only smaller but moves.

Journaling: Petanque is something like playing horseshoes only with balls of metal. Uncle Pat is great with horseshoes, but Michel is great with this game. Of course....it is a game played in France! Carey my brother, is just planning on winning!

Very interesting and informative page, Pat. Love the colour and all the torn elements... but donŽt think IŽll ever be playing that game. Sounds far too difficult and most likely to lead to family fights!

Great page Pat... I love it! This reminds me of a game my grandpa used to play called Bocci Ball, they were made of stone though. Looks like the guys were having a great time! How fun! Thank you for using my Everyday Thoughts kit! I think it worked out great for your page!

I love this page, Pat! We play Petanque and love it! Our park even has an annual tournament! It's really easy to learn and requires very little equipment. We have a Petanque court, but you can play it almost anywhere!

I like how you composed your page with the rips and the cardboard. And you can tell the guys were having a good time. Bill and I were in a neighborhood Bocci ball tournament last summer. We didn't win, but it sure was fun! Off to Google Petanque......
