Well, you´ve certainly created a dreamlike feeling with your wonderful blending. I like the vignette of your grandparents which shows the original photo. The tree behind them with its joined branches was a very lucky coincidence and a suitable metaphor for a couple joined in matrimony for such a long time. On a more prosaic note, I love the glimpse of the Tin Lizzie in the background!

Awesome LO...definitely deserving of the LOTD honor. Like that newspaper clipping that you included. Photo seems older than 1946...probably because the ones in the photo are up in years. Love everything here!

Thank you so much for choosing this as LOTD! I am so pleased to have done well with this special photo. As to the age of the people, while the picture is from shortly after World War II, my grandparents were both born a few years after the Civil War. So they really should seem of an older time.
