What a lovely idea, Carol. Great LO, very original. Thanks for the recipe too. I do a lot of baking before Christmas and I have to hide the biscuits from my husband or thereīd be none left for the 25th. Your mumīs biscuits would be gone in a flash!

Oh, I am going to print this one out and give it a try (If I find time to do any baking this year)! Looks yummy! What a great keepsake for future generation! Thanks so much for sharing with us! I am going to create a page with one of my Mom's Christmas Cookie recipes! This is an excellent idea!

I asked Mum and she said it is Vanilla flavored fine sugar and you can usually buy it in the spice section in the supermarket. Hopefully you can get something similar in your shops. If not she said you could just add a couple of drops of vanilla essence to the mix.
That's the only difficult part of exchanging recipes is the measurements and the availability of different ingredients.
Good Luck!

Okay...what's the official definition of a "bikkie"? The picture looks like a cross between a cake and cookie, but there's no flour in the recipe. Maybe bikkie means it's made from eye yolks? Sounds wonderful...I'm really thinking about trying this! Great layout, too. Love the cutout of Mum.

These recipes all look so yummy. This year there will be no baking - no power for a while decided that for me, but I have a store of recipes for next year.
