Some how I got the description to my daughter's 4th anniversary on here....so, I'm correcting the description.
Actually, this tribute is bitter sweet as Autumn pictured here was my daughter's best friend and maid of honor at her wedding on March 15, 2003. This past Saturday, March 10th, we had a "Celebration of Autumns Life" memorial for her. She was attending Bastyr University in Seattle, Washington to become a naturopathic physician and was struck by a truck while riding her bike home from classes. Tonia, my daughter, and I both were devestated. She and Autumn had been friends since 6th grade. Autumn and I were enjoying a rather unique relationship...I do research with patients who have Myasthenia Gravis using natural products and Autumn was training to be a naturopathic physician. Most people don't understand our passion for what we do and so we have spent a lot of time sharing what we both have been learning and experiencing over the past year. I did this layout as a tribute to Autumn for my website. Autumn was a very giving person even in her death...donated organs improved and saved the life of 4 different recipients.
The past two weeks have been a blur...dealing with our loss, contacting class mates, digging out photos and scanning them. My daughter and I did 52 layouts with 3-5 pictures of classmates and friends on each one. Each layout had a quote about friendship. Also did a slide show. But, actually, it was a healing process also. I'll post a few of the pages soon.
Deb's Roses for Mom was so perfect for this layout...I did recolor slightly from pink to coral. The picture of Autumn was taken at Tonia's wedding 4 years ago today.
Lovely tribute. you did an excellent job blending the photo of your daughter into the rose patterned paper. Just gorgeous!

I am so sorry for your loss. Loss of a life is sad at any time, but when it comes at such a young age, and to one with such a bright future it is truly tragic. Your tribute is beautiful and heartfelt and my thoughts are with you and your family.
