Poster: retro (see this users gallery) This modern version of a traditional Scottish dessert has got to be the easiest ever. Only the ingredients are important, not the quantities so you can have as much or as little of any of them as you want. And any tinned fruit will do. I'd go easy on the sherry though if you want to stay sober long enough to drink your coffee afterwards…. I never thought I'd see the day when I combined a piper with a trifle in a LO! With a haggis maybe but that´s an entirely different recipe and an acquired taste…The trifle I made myself years ago for a party at my boxer club here in Germany (boxer as in “dog”, not in “blood sport”) and it went down so well - in every respect - I missed most of the party, I was kept so busy writing out the recipe. I photographed the piper a while back at the Highland Games in Perthshire. Everything else is from my kit, Celtic Gold.

oh Helen! that looks so yummy! Definately going to have to give this one a try! Not sure about the Sherry part... Matthew would want some... yep... You talked me into it... Maybe I will give it a try tonight! Great photo of the piper, and I really love your Celtic Gold kit for this!

The triffle sounds yummy! I like the way you used your kit. The elements and paper really give the feeling of Scotland.
